Job Title: Buyer (Supply Chain / Inventory Planning)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Salary: $75,000–$100,000 annually (based on experience)
Join a leading medical products manufacturer as a Buyer, supporting critical supply chain operations. This role is responsible for ensuring material availability, optimizing inventory levels, and driving supplier performance to meet production and customer demand. You’ll work cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, and Production while leveraging data to improve forecasting and purchasing decisions.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain demand forecasts using historical data and business inputs
• Monitor forecast accuracy and identify improvement opportunities
• Partner with Sales, Operations, and Production on demand planning
• Create and manage purchase orders for raw materials, packaging, and finished goods
• Monitor inventory levels and execute replenishment strategies
• Track supplier lead times and adjust purchasing plans accordingly
• Identify and mitigate supply risks, shortages, and delays
• Communicate with suppliers on forecasts, orders, delivery schedules, and performance
• Monitor supplier KPIs including on-time delivery and lead times
• Coordinate inbound logistics with carriers, suppliers, and warehouses
• Track shipments and resolve transportation issues proactively
• Optimize freight costs and service levels with logistics partners
• Support import/export and international shipping processes as needed
• Analyze supply chain metrics and generate performance reports
• Utilize ERP systems and Excel for planning and purchasing analysis
• Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, or inventory planning
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with ERP systems (MRP preferred)
• Background in manufacturing or consumer products
• Experience with forecasting and inventory planning methods
• Knowledge of international logistics and imports preferred
• Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities
