Account Manager – Higher Education Partnerships
Location: St. Louis, MO — Sunset Hills area
Position Type: Direct Hire
Work Schedule: Onsite Monday–Thursday; remote work available on Fridays
Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience

Our client is seeking an Account Manager to support college and university partners and direct customers. This position is responsible for building strong customer relationships, increasing program awareness and utilization, coordinating orders, supporting renewals, and identifying opportunities to improve customer satisfaction and grow existing accounts.

The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and comfortable collaborating with sales, marketing, customer relationship, and operations teams.

Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with assigned college and university partners and direct customers.
• Increase program awareness, engagement, utilization, customer satisfaction, and retention.
• Respond to customer inquiries within 24 hours and coordinate timely issue resolution.
• Provide customers with regular updates regarding programs, orders, timelines, and account activity.
• Process customer orders accurately and coordinate fulfillment within five business days.
• Maintain accurate customer, order, and account information in the CRM system.
• Support contract renewals in partnership with the Vice President of Sales and Senior Account Executive.
• Identify appropriate upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts.
• Establish and achieve individual goals related to retention, customer satisfaction, account support, and process efficiency.
• Recommend and implement at least two process improvements annually to enhance customer service, content acquisition, or order fulfillment.
• Collaborate with Account Executives, Customer Relationship Managers, Marketing, and other internal teams to resolve customer concerns.
• Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
• Stay current on changes to technology, products, and internal processes.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Three to five years of experience in account management, customer success, client services, or a related customer-facing role.
• Demonstrated ability to build strong customer relationships and improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to manage high-volume data entry and multiple priorities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies, products, and processes.
