Food Taster – Plant-Based Products
$19/hour | Permanent part-time, direct hire | Central West End, St. Louis
Schedule: Tuesday–Thursday, 9 a.m.–4 p.m.
Do you enjoy describing what makes a food taste, smell, and feel just right? Our client is looking for a reliable Food Taster to evaluate plant- and soy-based products and provide feedback that helps shape future products. Training is provided; prior food industry experience is a plus, not a requirement.
What you’ll do
• Taste and evaluate samples for flavor, texture, aroma, and appearance.
• Record clear, objective feedback and compare samples with quality standards.
• Share observations with product development and quality assurance teams.
• Follow food safety procedures and assist with occasional standardized tests, such as moisture or salt-content testing.
What you’ll bring
• A strong interest in food and the ability to describe sensory differences clearly.
• Attention to detail, dependability, and good communication skills.
• Availability for a consistent, long-term Tuesday–Friday schedule.
• Ability to meet the role’s sensory evaluation requirements.
• Food industry or sensory evaluation experience is helpful but not required.
