Job Title: Senior Buyer
Location: Maryland Heights, MO (Onsite)
Job Type: Direct Hire
Salary: $80,000–$90,000+; Incentive Plan (10%) and Revenue Sharing Bonus Plan

Join a growing risk management organization as a Senior Buyer, where you will take ownership of supplier relationships, ensure material availability, and directly support daily manufacturing operations. Responsibilities:
Procurement & Supplier Management
• Manage assigned vendors, including performance, communication, and issue resolution
• Oversee full purchase order lifecycle from creation to delivery
• Own component cost management for select suppliers and report insights to leadership
• Establish and maintain supplier stocking agreements
Inventory & Planning
• Ensure all materials are ordered and delivered on time to meet production needs
• Maintain inventory targets, including safety stock levels
• Support and develop Kanban processes
• Analyze demand and generate forecasts for suppliers
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Partner with Production, Scheduling, and Quality teams to resolve supply and quality issues
• Communicate delays and risks proactively to internal stakeholders
• Support product changes and manage inventory transitions
Process Improvement & Leadership
• Participate in and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain accurate vendor and item data within ERP systems
• Assist with vendor audits alongside Quality Assurance
• Mentor and support junior buyers or schedulers

Qualifications:
• Associate degree with 6+ years of relevant experience, OR
• Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience
• Equivalent experience (10+ years) will also be considered
• 3–5+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience managing suppliers and vendor performance
• Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Rootstock, or similar) and Excel
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Ability to communicate effectively across departments and with leadership

Preferred:
• Experience with Kanban or lean inventory systems
• Background working with internally designed or manufactured products
