Associate Attorney – Civil Defense / Insurance Litigation

Salary: $95,000–$105,000 + Growth Opportunity
Join a highly regarded St. Louis litigation firm as an Associate Attorney focused on civil defense and insurance litigation. What You’ll Do:
• Manage civil defense litigation cases from inception through trial with partner support.
• Draft and arguing pleadings, motions, discovery, and pre-trial filings.
• Conduct legal research and develop case strategies.
• Communicate directly with clients, providing updates and legal guidance.
• Prepare witnesses for depositions and trial.
• Attend hearings, depositions, and trials.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on trial preparation, including exhibits, motions, and jury instructions.

Qualifications:
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Active Missouri Bar license required; Illinois Bar preferred.
• 2+ years of civil litigation experience (insurance defense strongly preferred)
• Experience with depositions, motion practice, and case strategy development
• Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills
